There is no shortage of opportunities to enjoy the scenic beauty of Stowe. Especially popular during the fall foliage season, many of these suggested drives begin at the Stowe Visitor Center right on Main Street in Stowe Village. Visit the historic auto Toll Road as you make your way to the summit of Mt. Mansfield. As you wind through the serene country roads, you’ll be taken in by the picturesque mountain views.
This is Stowe. Vermont’s true four-season vacation destination.
One of our favorite scenic Stowe Vermont drives is right up the Mountain Road – take it all the way over the mountain and into the scenic town of Jeffersonville. Beware, the top of the road closes during late fall and does not re-open until late spring. Use caution, there are often hikers traversing the road and there are very sharp curves around the giant rocks and boulders. A scenic Vermont drive during summer and early autumn. Keep it under 10 mph.
